Ateliers Jean Nouvel (AJN) is a world-renowned design firm with a multicultural team of around 120 people from twenty countries. Rainer Schmidt is a landscape Architect and Urban Planner, Bavarian Chambers of Architects, Munich. In 1991, he opened his offices for landscape architecture in Munich and Berlin, 1997 another branch in Bernburg/ Saale. The philosophy of the international success of the work of Rainer Schmidt Landscape Architects and Urban Planners is, to make the landscape architecture of the 21st century become an impulse for reflecting on the position of people towards each other and towards nature.
Vardastudio is located in Paphos and was established by Andreas Vardas in 1997. Andreas Vardas graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, in 1993 and gained his working experience in London. He is a member of the RIBA, as well as ETEK. The studio’s work includes a number of individual houses, housing development as well as public buildings and a healthy number of competitions. The practice has earned many awards in competitions as well as the Republic of Cyprus President’s award. It has also represented Cyprus in the European Mies Van Der Rohe award.
Christos Christodoulou is the President of the Cyprus Architects Association. He studied Architecture in Manchester Metropolitan University. He received the BA(Hons.) in Architecture in 1995 and the B.Αrch. in 1997. At university, the main field of his research and study was urbanism, contextualism and insertions of new buildings in the existing urban fabric. From 1997 until 2000 was working as intern architect at Tyler&co Architects in Manchester, UK. He was involved with projects in the UK, Scotland, Russia, Germany, Estonia, Greece and Lithuania. In 2000 he relocated in Cyprus and worked in local architectural practices until 2002. He has also worked as intern architect for the Municipality of Nicosia and the Nicosia Masterplan in 2003-2004. Since 2003 is a founding partner and director at Simpraxis Architects mainly working on residential, commercial and public projects.
Wassim Naghi is President of the Union of Mediterranean Architects and of the Order of Engineers and Architects in Tripoli, (2012 to present). He is a Professor lecturer at Lebanese University, (1998 to present) and Beirut Arab University, (2011-2014). He has been Former Chairman at the Department of Architecture at the Lebanese University, (2009-2011), he has been a board member at the Federation of Lebanese Engineers, (2013-2014).
